COVID-19

#Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.

Most people who contract the virus develop mild to moderate symptoms and recover without needing special treatment.

HOW IT SPREADS
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mostly transmitted through droplets produced by infected people when they cough, sneeze, or exhale. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air and quickly settle on the ground or surfaces.

You can become infected by breathing in the virus if you are in the immediate vicinity of a person with COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

What can I do to protect myself?
Here are the steps to take:

Avoid close contact with infected people. Ensure a physical distance of at least 1 meter from others. It is mandatory to always have masks with you. These must be worn in indoor places other than private homes and also in all outdoor places, except in cases where, due to the characteristics of the place or the factual circumstances, the condition of isolation is continuously guaranteed. compared to non-cohabiting people.

The use of respiratory protection devices is strongly recommended even in private homes in the presence of non-cohabiting people.

Identify infected people early so that they can be isolated and treated and that all their close contacts can be quarantined.

Wash your hands often. It is recommended to make hydroalcoholic solutions for hand washing available in all public places, gyms, supermarkets, pharmacies and other meeting places.
Avoid crowded places, closed rooms with poor ventilation and close range.
Ensure good ventilation of enclosed spaces, including homes and offices.
Avoid hugs and handshakes.

Sneeze and / or cough into a handkerchief avoiding hand contact with respiratory secretions.
Avoid mixed use of bottles and glasses, especially during sports.
Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.
Do not take antiviral drugs and antibiotics, unless prescribed by your doctor.
Clean the surfaces with soap and water or common neutral detergents to remove dirt and then disinfect them with sodium hypochlorite solutions (bleach / bleach) or alcohol adequately diluted.

It is strongly recommended that healthcare professionals continuously use surgical masks during all routine activities in healthcare facilities.

Healthcare professionals must also use additional personal protective equipment and precautions for the care of #COVID-19 patients, as per ministerial regulations.
If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing and you suspect that you have been in close contact with a person with Covid-19 respiratory disease:

stay at home, do not go to the emergency room or medical offices but call the family doctor, pediatrician or medical guard.
